North Carolina Art Schools and Colleges

North Carolina is committed to the arts, and boasts over 2,500 art organizations, including councils, centers, schools, festivals, publications, museums, and performance groups. Art and design workers in general can expect to see an increase of 12% in opportunities through 2012, while more specific fields have even more optimistic outlooks. Graphic designers and multimedia artists, for instance, are forecasted for a 21% increase, while fine artists, such as sculptures and painters, can look forward to 18% more positions.
