Introduction: The School of Art at Montana State University-Bozeman offers a challenging curriculum and state-of-the-art facilities for intensive graduate and undergraduate studies. Our 17 full-time faculty are active professionals who are engaged in their respective disciplines. They are committed to creating a rigorous and vital intellectual environment and to providing personal guidance to prepare students for a successful career in the arts. Our program allows for intense one-on-one instruction and encourages interdisciplinary exploration. The recently completed 6,000 sq. ft. graduate studio building provides spacious light-filled studios with mountain views and a gallery for exhibitions. The School supports an outstanding lecture series that has enabled our students to interact with some of the best artists and critics in the country. The Montana State University campus is surrounded by four Rocky Mountain ranges that provide excellent skiing, hiking, climbing and mountain biking minutes from campus. The nearby rivers offer picturesque vistas and world-class fly fishing, kayaking, and rafting.
