Famous Photographers
• Alfred Eisenstaedt - Eisenstaedt was one of the first and most prominent staff photographers at LIFE magazine, He is best known for photos which captured some of the most major events and influential people of the twentieth century.
• Francesco Scavullo - Scavullo's legacy is that of a top-notch and highly stylistic fashion photographer who shot the covers for Cosmopolitan magazine for more than 30 years.
• Irving Penn - Penn has won renown as much in editorial photography as in advertising illustration. His photographic innovations (especially in portraiture and still life) have set him apart stylistically from most other photograhers in the trade.
• Nick Nichols - Nichols is a nature photographer whose superior photographic talent led to his job as a staff photographer at National Geographic magazine.
• Neil Leifer - Leifer is one of the most successful sports photographers in the business with his work appearing in major publications including Sports Illustrated, Time, Life and People magazine. Leifer's pictures have appeared on more of these magazine covers than any other photographer.

Famous Interior Designers
• Charles R. Mackintosh - Mackintosh is considered one of the founders of Art Nouveau. His highly distinctive furniture designs were particularly outstanding, and rooms were often outfitted with panels and friezes that reflected the elaborate ornamentation found in many of his designs.
• Herter Brothers - After the Civil War, brothers Gustave and Christian Herter expanded their upholstery warehouse to become one of the first firms of interior decorators in the United States. Their outstanding work allowed them to work with clients like the Guilded Age multi-millionaires William Henry Vanderbilt, Darius Ogden Mills, and Jay Gould.
• Sister Parish -Born Dorothy May Kinnicutt, Parish was the first interior designer brought in to decorate the White House during the Kennedy term; her work was later changed by Stéphane Boudin, chief designer for Jansen, Inc., the Parisian design firm patronized by Jacqueline Kennedy in the White House from 1961 to 1963.
• Ogden Codman, Jr. - Codman was a noted American architect and interior decorator. With Edith Wharton, he coauthored the book The Decoration of Houses (1897), which became a standard in American interior design. One of his greatest achievements was the design of two floors of The Breakers, the summer home of Cornelius Vanderbilt II.
• Philippe Starck - often recognized as a designer for retail goods sold only at Target, Starck is probably the best known designer in the New Design style. Starck has worked independently as an interior and product designer since 1975.

Famous Filmmakers
• Ang Lee - Considered one of today's greatest contemporary filmmakers, Lee's movies The Wedding Banquet (1993), Eat Drink Man Woman (1994) and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) were Oscar-nominated for "Best Foreign Language Film". Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon won. Lee recently released Brokeback Mountain (2005) which received the Golden Globe for Best Drama.
• Sophia Coppola - Ms. Coppola has already made her mark in the film world with her successful film Lost in Translation (2003). Coppola wrote, directed, and produced this film which was nominated for 4 Academy Awards - winning for Best Writing (Original Screenplay).
• Nora Ephron - Ephron's list of accomplishments include writing, directing, and producing some of the most popular "chick-flick" films of the past two decades. All feature strong female characters and make her work endearing to both men and women alike. Some familiar titles include Silkwood (1983), When Harry Met Sally (1989), Sleepless in Seattle (1993), and You've Got Mail (1998).
• Chris Columbus - After producing three Harry Potter movies, Columbus is now one of the busiest filmmakers in the business. He produced Christmas with the Kranks (2004), Fantastic Four (2005) and Rent (2005), and has five new movies scheduled for production in 2006.
• Peter Jackson - Jackson has been in the film industry since the late 1970s and has worked in nearly every facet of the business. His national acclaim came with his involvement as directory and/or producer of the Lord of the Ring movies. His most recent movie, King Kong (2005), was a box office blockbuster that gained rave reviews for its cinematic special effects.

Famous Artists
• Tom Keating - Keayting was an art restorer and famous art forger. He left clues of his paintings' true nature for fellow art restorers or conservators to find (deliberate flaws or materials specific to the 20th Century). He was arrested in 1977 and accused of fraud, but the case was dropped due to his poor health. After his death in 1984, his original paintings and his known forgeries became valuable collectibles.
• James Dyson - Dyson is an industrial artist and designer whose interest in mechanics combined with his artistic talents and led to a career that involved invention and product design. Dyson spent 5 years in the early 1980s designing and developing a particular style of vacuum cleaner and after more than 5,000 prototypes were created, Dyson released the G-Force, which maked the front cover of Design Magazine in 1983.
• John Lasseter - As a computer animator and director, Lasseter directed Tin Toy for Pixar Studios, a short subject film that would make history as the first computer animated film ever to win an Academy Award. The subject matter of this film led to the animated film Toy Story which was the industry's first feature-length computer-animated film and whose production team was also managed by Lasseter.
• Chas Fagan - Fagan is known as the portrait artist who painted the complete gallery of presidential portraits for C-SPAN's Peabody Award-winning American Presidents. Though he has no formal training as an artist, he is also an accomplished sculptor and painter of landscapes and still lifes.
• Barbara Hepworth - Hepworth was an English sculptor best known for the monumental-scale and avant garde style of her work. Hepworth was commissioned in 1962 to create a large bronze piece to stand next to the United Nations Building in New York, as a memorial to Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold.

Famous Designers
• Giambattista Bodoni - Bodoni is considered the "father of modern type" and is often referred to as the greatest Italian printer of the period (late 1700s to early 1800s). He established his own typography styles and printed editions famous for their fine engravings - in addition to the quality of the paper and inks.
• Salvatore Ferragamo - Ferragamo is said to have designed the most astonishing shoes the world has ever seen, including the original "Stiletto" - a shoe designed from his idea that heels would last longer if they were made of steel. Throughout the 1930's, 40's and 50's, his shoes filled the pages of the world's top fashion magazines and he was commissioned to make shoes for many famous Hollywood film stars.
• Daniel Ost - One of today's worldclass floral artists, Ost's projects span everything from the simplest bouquet to the most prestigious decorations - such as the wedding of Crown Prince Philippe of Belgium to Princess Mathilde which he handled in 1999.
• Delores Custer - One of the world's most experienced food stylists, Custer is also one of only a few food styling instructors worldwide. She has taught approximately 3,000 students over 15 years at both the Culinary Institute of America and at The New School.
• Thomas Church - Church is best known as a landscape designer who followed the concept of "the garden as an outdoor room." He designed public gardens at the University of California at both Berkeley and Stanford, as well as at Longwood Gardens near Philadelphia.
